The apartment is located on the second floor of a four-storey building in the area of Evosmos in Thessaloniki. The study was based on the needs of a family of four, while the interventions were mainly focused on the living areas used by all the members of the family.

A multi-purpose partition was designed in the open plan living room – kitchen area. It functions as kitchen cupboard piece of furniture, on one side, with cupboards and a worktop, which on the extension functions as a breakfast table/table for a snack. On the living room side, the divider gains height to “hide” the kitchen appliances and turns into a low bookcase. From the other side of the kitchen, the furniture turns towards the entrance of the apartment, defining the entrance space, allowing though the visibility to the rest of the apartment due to its perforated design. This piece of furniture includes a shoe rack and coat closet.

Α single piece of furniture was designed for the bathroom, including space for a washing machine under the counter and abundance storage space above. It is installed so that it can be one with the rest of the surfaces. The faucet was built into a wooden box so as to create storage space and a two-level countertop. The large mirror in the center of the furniture gives depth to the space.

The choice of lighting consists of simple ceiling light fixtures with the exception of the one in the dining room, whose particular linear form in front of the large glass window of the apartment enhances the linearity of the space.

The choice of materials used were marble for the floors and wood for the pieces of furniture all in soft tone colors. The exception is the pale shade of green chosen on the two continuous walls of the living room and kitchen making the boundaries of the two spaces blurred. The color was chosen to give a sense of harmony and tranquility to the space while the rest of the color choices lead to the strong contrast of black and white creating a minimal modern space.
